Department of Zoology and Tamilnadu Science Forum has jointly organized “Guide Teachers Training Programme” for the Middle School, High School and Higher Secondary School teachers of Sivagangai District  from 30.07.2019 to 01.08.2019 in which 292 teachers from different school have participated. The focal theme of the training was “Science, Technology and Innovation for a Green, Clean and Healthy Nation”. Professors from Department of Zoology, Chemistry, Botany and Physics have motivated the teachers on how to develop simple innovative and scientific projects at school children level. The trainees are expected to form students groups in their respective schools and do science projects on the focal theme. Students will present their scientific project at District, State and National level “National Children’s Science Congress” to be held on in the coming months. The winners will get National Young Scientist Award.
