Ours is not just a College but a family where the Management, Staff, Students and Parents work wholeheartedly to foster qualitative achievements in higher education. It is a known fact that the progress of a nation has to be supported by many strong fundamental factors, of which education is of vital significance. The entire atmosphere of our college is active with this spirit which promotes collaboration and co-operation leading to excellence.
Started in 1965 by Vallal Arulmamani Sri.NTS.Arumugam Pillai for the purpose of providing quality higher education to the rural poor in and around Tiruppattur, our college caters to the current needs of the students, promotes training and placement and develops all round skills. Under the able guidance of our father Thiru.NAR.Nagarajan, emotionally called as ‘The Father of Tiruppattur’, as Secretary and President of the College Governing Body, Our College witnessed a tremendous growth. Started with just 10 boy students in 1965, our College became a Co-education institution in 1975. But for the strenuous efforts of our late President, it would not have been possible for us to have about 2500 students- majority girl students admitted every year in our college.
The Management stimulates the academic environment for the promotion of quality research in our College Campus which is clearly visible by the upgradation of the Departments of Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, English and Mathematics as Research Departments. Our students will be fully equipped to face the pressure of global challenges. With steps taken in right direction, there is no doubt about achieving the self-set goals. I am confident that our students will eventually help the nation in its quest for greater self-reliance.
